Fisharepeopletoo is a weblog about people, mobile phones and fish.
If everyone carries around a handy little gadget that can connect them to a vast superstructure of information, and if the gadget can connect them to anyone they want to be connected to, and also make the information to do with exactly where they're standing, will we all start to behave like flocks of birds and shoals of fish? One little speck in a huge mass, all perfectly coordinated without ever being told what to do or where to go?
Maybe not quite that scary, but little flocks and shoals?
What will happen when we've all got these gadgets (the next mobile phone you buy will probably be one) and how and why will it happen? That's what we're wondering.
This research is a collaboration between Dr Gilbert Roberts and Andrew Wilson, funded by the Arts Council of England's Arts and Sciences Research Fellowships (and God love 'em for it).
Hello fine fishermen - do you have an RSS feed for me to enjoy?
